IBS Optical coatings for a wide range of photonics applications
UTOM AG was founded in November 2023 by Dr. Valentin Wittwer and three co-founders in Oensingen, Switzerland. The company is registered in the commercial register of the canton of Solothurn, Switzerland.
Our office and production facility (350 m²) is currently located in Oensingen, Switzerland, in an established industrial area. At its core, UTOM operates a 44 m² ISO Class 6 cleanroom, with planned expansion to 100 m² to meet growing demand.
A central element of our manufacturing capabilities is our Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) system. It is a state-of-the-art coating machine designed for the deposition of high-quality thin films on a broad range of substrates, with a focus on advanced optical components, for UV to mid-infrared wavelengths. The IBS technology provides outstanding precision, durability, and optical performance, enabling us to meet the highest requirements of modern photonics applications.
